As I have stationed myself in a very quiet are of Saint Petersburg for the time being, I have obviously been getting some things done here and there to settle in. So far the most noticeable feature I have seen is kindness. My neighbors as well as the surrounding community have shown nothing but the utmost respect and sincerity this past month, which leads to the purpose of this post.
My new condo has wall to wall carpeting in all rooms and hallways. The rugs are an off white color, and were in decent condition when I moved in. throughout the move in, it has become a bit tarnished from shoes, packages, and even my neighbors dog (who is awesome). Needless to say, I now need a professional service and some pet/odor treatment on the carpets and furniture.
I found a carpet cleaning business online that was very close by, and gave them a call. This was the most pleasant and productive phone call I've had in a while (I always enjoy a pleasant service call, as they are rare). I met with Al, the owner, and wound up casually chatting. Turns out it is a privately owned business and since relocating from Indian Rock, has found it difficult to get things moving again.
Well, Al somehow managed to make my condo look better than I had ever imagined, and for an unbeatable price. Since Al went the extra mile to make my day a little better, I wanted to try and help out by giving him a shout out on the internet in an effort to bring him some more business.
